Other very sought after fish of the region is the Surubi and the Pacu. The Surubi, top left, is unlike any other catfish species. They reach impressive sizes, up to 200 pounds and give tough battles for anglers. The Pacu, top right, is an omnivorous feeder, that feds upon fruits, insects and other variety of organic matter. The Pacu is also a strong fighting fish added by their round shape, with quirky movements and short runs.

Fishing Tackle will not be provided through our services. We recommend medium-heavy to heavy rods combined with durable bait casting or spinning gear. We suggest 50-65lb braided line. For fly fishing, any saltwater 8-11wt rod will be ideal for the targeted species in Argentina. Their is a first class fishing tackle shop located within the town of Esquina for any other necessary gear, such as line, leaders, lures, etc. All gear needed can be purchased there.
